BOATS AND BEACHES

The past 2 weekends have been filled with water, waves and sun. Our friend Justin had recently purchased a beautiful boat. Lucky for us he invited us to hang out with his family at Vail Lake where he has a private membership. Also lucky for us the Lake is a quick 15 minute drive from our house. Yes, I said 15 minutes!!! awesome.

We headed over after church and enjoyed cruising around the lake. I even went on the inner-tube. Justin was nice enough not to flip me. I can't say the same for his sister in law. Lol The kids were on their best behavior while in the boat. By kids I mean 7 month old Collin. 1 year old Braden and my 2 kids. All the kids were great. Cruising around on the lake has made me want a boat or waverunner more and more.

Yesterday we headed out to the beach for the day. This was our first beach trip this summer. It is really sad that we live an hour from the beach and end up only going once or twice a year. There are people in the midwest who have never seen the ocean and we are so blessed to live so close to one and yet we never have time to go. Carter and Savannah loved the beach. This was Carter's 2nd beach trip and he you could tell he was having a lot of fun. Both the kids wanted to keep playing in the water, but the beach was crowded (remind me to wait until September to go to the beach again), so we left after 2 hours.
